I like the photo coach in this one! "Okay! Looks Great!" This is the camera crew that's following Bo Huff around for the Rat Rodumentary.

    And it's Bo Huff himself!

On another note, if you know what you are looking at, this is really impressive. I'd love to drive this KG.

  7. I wasn't impressed with the show last year. That's why I passed this year. Now you guys see why that show sucks. Too many wanna-bes. Last year there was a guy with a car that had a skelleton passanger, and skulls all over it. Primer Nats is "Pebble Beach" compared to that show. Way too far to drive,to see that shit! If I want to see stupid crap like that i'll go to a goodguys show and check out all the "old" guys trying to capitalize on the "ratrod" craze.

i can understand that. we drove to the primer nats, and wow! and the drive home was still a drag. i can't imagine how you'd feel driving four hours home from this...

but for people up in utah or locals, it was worth it.
    good, clean local fun.

Its was nice that there was something to go see while I was in town on vacation.
I enjoyed the show , yeah there was stuff that didnt appeal to me. I just passed it by and paid attention to the stuff I did like.

hey... whatever happened to... what happens in vegas... stays in vegas. Maybe car culture should stay that way too... with the exception of VLV.

man, it will be quite an uphill battle to change all this and make the vegas scene at least somewhat respectable. i'm up for it, but damn.

speaking of making changes, i have a feeling bo huff will be getting quite a few e-mails about the bullshit in this year's show...

we're with you man. there's a mindset in this town--how much that thing cost? where can I get it? things are cool because they look either piss poor cheap or conspicuously expensive. whether they're throwing pieces of shit together as quickly as possible or blowing 3grand on riims, craft and thoughtfulness never enter the equation.

"to me this rockabilly rod reunion is border line making a mockery of the whole scene"

when did hot rods become a scene?

it's guys with the scenester attitude that takes all the fun out of building cars.

i'm trying VERY hard to get myself on the "board" for next year. i want to change all the lame shit about this year's show, i want to make this what it once was and what it should be. i've got some ideas, and 20 inch chrome spokes damn sure ain't one of them!

now, i'm not even trying to compete with axle or VLV, i just want the other show in vegas to be better than it is. there's room for plenty more shows around here, but i'm focusing on improving this one.

I was workin' and didn't see much of the show, but we had fun and met a lot of nice people. Funny, I didn't hear anybody complaining about anything out there on the ground. WTF? I guess it's all in how you look at it.

I work with a guy here that was a security guard out there and he said people kept coming up to him (thinking he was part of the organizing group) PISSED OFF that there were trailer queens and billet rims in the show.

Further more, the attitude of the guys that put this on (not including Bo Huff) at Sams Town that night was REDICULOUS and if you're reading this I want you to know you're a bunch of DICKS! YOU SUCK! We were sitting at a table next you at the after party while you guys made drunk asses of yourselves, broke the table in a full house where NO other tables were available to sit and then LEFT the broken table, your empty fifth of JD and all your beer bottles and bullshit for everyone else to deal with! Way to support your own event! What a waste! Not saying that being a drunk ass isn't acceptable, it's how you handle yourself. PLEASE leave this event for someone else next year.

Tred! You're the man if you can get on the board and turn this shit around for next year! Vegas needs someone that really "gets it" and can make it happen and can put his foot down when things aren't working out as should be.

Little bitter this morning. It's hard for me to read this thread and see how people felt about the show. I feel the same unfortunately (in case you didn't notice). HOWEVER!! Those of you who came out and had a good time and brought good shit to share (and there were alot of you)... THANKS! I had a good time myself...

you know me, special treatment for no one!
i'm no bad ass, but when it comes time to fight the good fight, i'm down!
this is gonna take some work, being an unknown and all out here, but i've got an idea or two how to make it happen.
plus, i need something to channel my energy into right now, y'know what i mean, scooter?

what kind of show's do you think these are!?!?!
when you put the music acpect of it with the hot rod crowd it sort of automatically becomes that way. i've been in to both for over 20 years and i disagree that a scenster attitude is the only reason fun is taken out of this.

  28. I've seen this chick before. No offense to tatoo people, but it's damn nice to see a girl who's arms aren't covered with 'em.

  29. You just KNOW some rapper is gonna do something like this...

i kind of agree, and to me, a "scene" is whatever i'm into. i'm not into stuff because others are, but rather others like me, and me, tend to gravitate toward each other. hell, there was a young guy with a new off-the-rack suit and a $95 haircut at the show, and i had no ill feelings toward him just because he wasn't into the "scene". do you think he gives a shit about a "scene"? i don't. he just wanted to look at some cool old cars and maybe hear some good music. same goes for me.
but no matter what your scene, i want to make next year's show fun for everybody within the guidelines that are already set up (and not enforced).

you do remember what it's like to have fun at a car show, right guys?
    i do.
    my goal for next year.
