Absolutely stunning display as well the building that is housing it (from what I can see). I love when a great deal of thought is put into the display of just about anything. Those cars are inspiring to say the least. I wish I could see it in person.

The Alfa Aerodinamica (1914) is based on the Alfa 40/60 HP , has a 6082 cc straight-4 engine with overhead valves, the top speed of the aerodinamica was 139 km/h (86 mph).

  12. What a magnificent display of automotive history. I love the simple presentation. Very classy. You can almost feel the pride that the craftsmen put into those beautiful machines. Sure would love to hear the first two barking from those huge tailpipes! Excellent pictures. Thanks for posting.

Ah, I-cars first thing in the morning - thank you! By the way, the Alfa Romeo Aerodinamica dates to something like 1914 (someone correct me if I'm wrong here).

Going to Italy for a month or so and hanging out in the factory museums for a month or so has been on my "bucket list" for a long while.

    Nice photography by the way.

    cool post. Thanks for sharing.

  18. Great post, thanks for the pics. That Batafogo is totally cool. I love the radiator shell and the huge lamp. Also, I have never seen the Alfa P2 with the wheel out the back. Very innovative way to meet the requirement to carry a spare. I guess they didn't have to have riding mechanics then, though there is obviously a place for one.

    Thanks for sharing!

Wow! One of the best things about the Jalopy Journal is the exposure of history and the interest and knowledge of the people who come here. OK that's two things and the list gets longer. I like form and function-here it is and it's art. I like bangers and flatheads-and it's in here. Want to learn? How about kool stuff that you never knew existed? I've just scratched the surface of the Jalopy Journal and have not even started with the H.A.M.B. This site is better than sliced bread!

  23. Just another example of the reasons I follow this site - so many people who love automobiles, art and design - and can make the conection to hot rods and customs.
