Mr J. aint half bad for a Yankee.

If it wasn't a historical car you might get away with vinyl. As someone that loves paint and owes what I do for a living because of the unbelievable paint I witnessed at the drag strip I think that if you short change the paint you will make it just another poor attempt to copy a car with no respect to what made the cars cool. If you spent the money on paint and put it on the track with a crate 350 would all the non paint fans be saying "just get it out there?"

Great car but if and when I walk up on it, I see you skimped out on paint I will walk by and and never give it a second thought until it gets the respect it deserves. Please do this car correct. Run it red until you know the lettering is going to be done correctly by a artist. If you have one then thats cool I look forward to seeing the pics. Good luck

    Hey Vic,
No doubt about it, Jeff Devey can do it RIGHT! I've been seeing his stuff all over the U.S. and he's excellent! He left out one word, though. He said he's painted a few drag cars... what he meant to say was he's painted a few HUNDRED drag cars! The guy is awesome!
    Keep us posted!

    Thanks Guys,..and thanks Jeff Devey,..
I/we tried to make it happen, but the
Travel over to you could not be met,.I am absolutly positive you could, and would have done a fabulous job on the 1972 Veneys Vega.
As of right now the car has been with Dick Pruitt for the last few days
painting the grille, headlights, and taillights, and will then be turned over
to Mitch Kim to do the lettering and signage,..I hope to have some spy photos sometime today of the progress. I appreciate all the phone calls and leads to make this all happen,..It will look fabulous and done up right.

    thanks
    Vic

This was taken a day before it went to Dick,..
the vega is 99% ready to race,,..and now trying to find a truck to haul it
    down to Bakersfield.

hey guys Slick Vic got the Vega lettered now he's looking for a tow vehicle to get he's Flopper to the CHRR. His partner backed out at the last minute and left himhigh and dry. He lives in the PNW. If anyone can help shoot him an email or call him. He's info is posted on the first page. We've got a crew set up for him at Bakersfield ready to service the car he just needs a little help getting to the "Patch".

Actually the lettering begins tomorrow, but the grille and lights are done.
Id like to thank Dick Pruitt for the awesome authentic replication of the original grille and lights,..spot on job,..and I am sure Mitch Kims work will be of the same exact spot on lettering as the original job done by Kenny Youngblood back in 1972.

Thanks for posting up Vince,..one way or another we will be there.

    thanks
    Vic

Kool Kool,...The Veneys Vega is done, and it is unbelievable.
Hats off to Dick Pruitt and Mitch Kim of Completely Nuts Inc. for their Masterful artwork in capturing the very essence of the 1972 Veneys Vega I was wanting. Their work they have done together is hands down Kicking it Old School.
Very talented people I highly recomend Dick and Mitch for all your airbrush and free hand letterring, it was/is a great experiance, they take pride in their work and have enjoyed every minute of this car,
Thanks again to Dick and Mitch.
