Need more specifics on where you want your 'A's rear wheels to sit, what's the backspacing on the wheels your using, how much clearance you want between the wheel/tire combo your using, and the fenderwell? 52pig is right, there are "9"inch width charts on here.

Also consider if you will be using stock wheel wells. If you make them vertical,as opposed to the angle Ford used to create back seat passenger room, you can use a rear that is about 3" narrower. I have an 8" rear from a '66 Fairlane in my phaeton (same wheel well angle as sedan) because my Maverick rear was way too narrow. The coupes, roadsters, and pickups like a rearend about 56 1/2" to 57" wide, but they have vertical wheel wells. Brandon is right about the 61", if leaving sedan wheel wells.

What wheel bolt pattern are you using?

I agree a 61-62" wide rear end is what you need. This rear end is from a 77 or so 1/2 ton Ford pickup. This has the 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern. This car also uses the 7.50-16 tires on the back and has a tight body to tire clearance. Check out the rest of the pics in the albumn.

    5.60-16 front tires

About 3-3 1/2" of clearance between the lowest point and the ground. THe rockers are not the lowest point.
