No "Hot Rods" in my shed unless you call my 69 427 Vette Roadster a Hot Rod. I finally got her running and am thrilled to death. She's Monza Red (think orange) with a 4 speed Muncie. 95% original. Born Lemans Blue with blue interior and a PO changed it to Monza Red with black interior which I like much more. In 2000 my buddy wanted me to get this car ready for sale as he was moving out of state. I kept staring at it in my driveway and after about two weeks asked him how much he needed for it. A deal was struck and she was mine. The windshield was poorly installed so that there was a huge air gap at the bottom. I had it replaced and replaced the cracked dash pad. I took too many things apart in order to "make it right" and then life got in the way. Everything came first. My son wanted me to take it to Monterey Car Week and I busted my butt getting her ready for the four hour trip, but at the last moment, I got a coolant leak and two calipers started to leak so she stayed home. Now she runs and drives, is licensed and insured so I only have details and small things to take care of. I'm a long time member of a Corvette Forum, but most posters there don't have a clue which end of a hammer to grab. I love how the build posts here are so technical and there's obviously tons of talent here. Just love it! I'd like to build a (32?) roadster when I retire in a few years, but we'll see.
