Just saw a small version of this shot the other day,and though it would be a good color combo on your Ford.
Late to the party, but truely awesome work. Colorwise, I'd like to see Mr Norwell's Green become the warm Butterscotch of the 57 Lincoln Premier. Haven't heard of drivetrain options yet, Flattie? Ford? or crossbred? I first thought the rear window's curve should've been kept, but your artistry displaced that thought immediately and to me it appears to have that convertible-like look at first glance.
Really good job Skip I really like the 3/4 view pics and I think Norwell knocked it out of the park that"s way tooo nice. Like the baby blue also. Once again great job, and vision!!
I really don't care what color the car ends up, it looks amazing in bare metal. I do have my favorites (Norwell's and Rik's second pic). My only wish is that I lived in Cali so Skip could chop my tudor next. I do have a question though. What is the secret to the low stance. I didn't see any info reading the thread and I've been staring at it a few days now (read bloodshot and stinging eyes).
My first car was a 51 Victoria bought in 1961 for my 14th birthday & still have a yearn for another. Great build, what rear window did you use.
I would think candy apple red and cream for colors. I know the two have been done but they always look great together and on that car it will be great! But then again a nice dark candy green and cream would be nice also. Jim
love it man! are the skirts flush mount, i cant tell from the pics. if they are do you have any pics of how you did it, thanks.
I'd kinda like to see this one but with a black top and bottom and this red, but shiny. Or flip the colors and do the middle black and the top and bottom this color red but shiny. Nah, maybe flipping the colors and having the black in the center might not look that good. I'd photoshop it and see if I were any good at photoshopping!
Are you going to media blast it, or buy ten cases on sand paper? The good news is the body is solid, but it may take a lot of work to bring the surface to smooth. Love the story of Carl.
I am just a "dumbass" fabricator not a bodyman......I will let the expert do their magic when it gets there.
Royalshifter...dude...that's a really good looking car.Kinda influenced by John Riccabona's Shoebox Ford. One of my favorite cars ever. You kept body mods simple.Way to go.I would keep the paint simple as well.Let the body do the talking.I'm impressed and jealous.Good thing is I will buy the car right away once it's finished cause I'm a fucking millionaire.
