Nice changed my mind a bit about the show just being a dressup party.
    Great pick on the music.

I am sure the people in the vid dont like to be ***ociated with the term "gang",one of the clubs in the vid is a well respected low rider club.I dont understand what is the "essence" that wasnt captured. It had old rides, people having fun and a sense of community,if that isnt the "essence" of viva then what is?..I wonder if any of the people in this vid or owners of rides in this vid are aware that they dont have the "essence" that makes a good viva.WOW i just dont understand the negativity about such a cool show and from one of the organisers at that.

I think I finally understand why some of the guys on here use the term "gangsta-Billy". That is not meant as a slur, it just means I've had a cultural awakening.

I enjoyed the film. It was certainly well done but was limited/defined by the maker's interests and it's short duration. It should be remembered that the casual observer (read outsider) is often only shown the "proud and serious" face of men, while warm and friendly is reserved for friends.
Axle's comments are polite and formed of his opinion. His opinion on this counts, after all who knows this show better that him? He comes from a "different place" to the filmmaker. I think that he dreams of and strives for a good quality pure and traditional show defined by the values of "Atomic" R'n'R and car culture.
One thing's for sure, VLV in general and the car show in particular are high on my bucket list and I know that I'll find plenty at both to justify the trip!
