I'm****uming the camcorder is VHS? If that's the case, you'll need to get a video input device (usually called a Video Capture Card) that will take the RCA jacked output from your camera (or VCR) and convert that into digital video to save on your PC. ATI makes an "All-in-Wonder" video card that does this, plus there are a few other manufacturers that make Video Capture Cards.

Run down to the computer store to take a look at what's available and get prices, then check the Internet for bargains.

If your video camera is digital, then it should have come with the software/cables to transfer it to your PC. I'm****uming this isn't the case, so look into those Video Capture Cards. I have no idea what they are running now; I haven't looked at prices in a long time.

Let me know if you have any questions, and good luck! [IMG]

If you are running Windows XP, I think all you need is the USB cord... XP has all that built in video capture editing*****.

Keep in mind that the standard XP movie editing program really*****s. It's very basic, but if you just want to string some clips together, it will be fine. It was a lame attempt to do something like Apple's built-in video editing software (which I've heard is pretty darn good).

I use Vegas Video or Adobe Premiere. Both cost bucks, though. Get Vegas if you can afford it.

If you just want bare-bones, the XP thing will be OK for that.

I'm not sure what the BBC is? Bib Block Chevy? British Broadcasting Company?

Oh, wait. I just figured it out...duh! You mean the Bradfordville Blues Club. I don't go there as much as I'd like, it was a bit pricey last few times I went.

My friend J.B. plays out there from time to time - JB's Zydeco Zoo - heck of a dance band. [IMG]

    Drag,
your camera (being digital) should've came with some sort of editting sofware. I know most cameras will send you a decent sofware...
If not tell the place you got it you need it, or it wasn't included and you're pissed!!
