Vin number

is there anyone on this board that can decode a VIN number, I have a 1963 studebaker hawk And I'm trying to determine the engine that the car has in it.

the vin number is 63v16923 any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe you can still order a production order through the Studebaker museum.
