The wife forced me into an antique auto parts store! Where I was forced again to buy parts for my Model A and Country Sedan! Got some good stuff but would have loved to get more-just not enough green stuff.

The owner has collecting parts for cars up through the 60’s for over 50 years (NOS/NORS/aftermarket). Unfortunately, the owner has cancer and needs to sell the store. I was so trying to find the money but it would take me at least a year to catalogue everything and then I would have to price and sell etc., etc. Anyone wants to buy the store or visit and buy parts I can email you the contact info.

Huh, never heard of a wife wanting to go to the parts store. Let alone forcing you to go, lucky you! Looks like a cool place, hopefully someone can do something with it. Hate to see everything thrown away.

Yes. Location would be best, as well as a change in the title.

Ie Vintage parts store available in xxxxx”

    Might catch some intended interest.

Doesn’t look like I can edit the title. Wasn’t sure what to put for a title actually.

Fortunateson, the store is in Port Townsend so about 2.5-3 hours with a ferry ride. If you go bring cross reference info as the brother doesn’t k ow what his brother has or what cross references with what.

Looks like some pretty cool stuff there. Just out of curiosity, did you catch the price on the '41 Cadillac convertible? Looks just like mine.

I've been in that store several times over the years and bought a few parts. I no longer have a boat in that area. Sold our house near there years ago, moved my friend from there and Dad has been gone for years so pretty rare I get up that way any more.
Lot's of cool stuff in the store.

The Model A was 17k and the Cadi was well north of that. It is in really good shape. Also, hours are Tuesday through Sat.

If you go down I 5 to Burlington, then go to Anacortes and across Deception pass bridge to And down though Whidbey Island to the Keystone Ferry landing aka Coupeville ferry to Port Townsend the map says 94 miles.
I'm thinking that we have at least one long time member in PT and even though the down is known world wide as a go to place to have your boat worked on by highly skilled craftspeople there is a decent car culture there. The down town is touristy but fun with a lot of great bars and places to eat. We like to go there on our boat but I have been by car several times. Screenshot (817).png

  24. But he left out the whore-house-turned-hotel (Palace Hotel) in the old section of town. Each room is furnished in antique items and named for one of the "working girls".

Very sorry to hear of the store closing and the owner's health issues. My wife and I were staying in town probably ten years ago when I first stumbled on the place, and since then it's been a regular stop whenever I'm on the northern end of the peninsula.

I've picked up some cool stuff there over the years, including this Stromberg carb box chock full of NOS parts.

Update: there are two prospective buyers for the store and I over heard that the requirement is that the store stay where it is and open. What that means is open to interpretation. But at least it will stay put.

I love Bergstrom's. Went in there many times back in the '80s and 90's. I sure hope that someone is able to buy it and keep it going. There's a similar place up in Carnation as well, but I think they may deal with more European stuff these days.

I wish I would’ve known about the shop when I was in Port Townsend a couple of years ago. I would have definitely visited it.
I drove up from the south through Bremerton so I didn’t need to take any ferries.

If you're going North on I5 Port Townsend is due North of Olympia, Wa. taking Hwy 101 on the NE corner of the peninsula.
