    Ken,

Are you talking about the Kurtis Kraft the Frank Curtis chopped up and turned into a roadster?

There was an article in Circle Track Magazine on the car back in the 80s. Car was red #8jr IIRC

They had photos of it that Circle Track took,so the car still exists, I have no idea who owns it though.

    Wally Campbell drove it.

This is strictly a GUESS on my part.

Could it be that the car that is now cream & red was & is the Bourgnon Ford and that the light blue & black car was the Bourgnon Offy???

    Anyone??????

    Ken,
June 84 CT mag. had a feature story on the car. According to that it started out as a KK midget that was raced on the west coast. Curtis got a hold of it and widened it into a roadster.

    Tony ..

I'm really not sure .. could be.

I never saw the car, just heard about it numerous times. It was brought up in conversation again recently (with Harold Seaman) at Marty Himes birthday celebration / annual get together.

Since it was built here on Long Island & done by Frank Cutris I'd sure like to know more about it and possibly see pictures of it.

BTW .. are you going to either the Hinchcliffe Stadium show later today in Paterson, NJ or Ken Brenn's show next Sunday in Warren, NJ?

    Hi Ken,

Sorry I won`t be able to attend either of the events due to work. I wish I could be there, esp for the Patterson event.

I`m sure the photos Rootie just posted is the car Curtis had. It was a good article, too.

Maybe he could scan and send it to you.

I posted some info on the car on the sprint car thread a while back. So happens, just the other day someone pm'd me about it and I looked it up for him, so I had the issue handy. BTW- according to the CT story, a fellow by the name of Charles Davis restored the car however it was all but totaled in a highway accident while being towed to a vintage race. Of course that was 20+ yrs. ago.

    Hi Ken,
The cream and red car is the former Yaccavone kurtis and has no connection with the blue36. Is the Curtis roadster in question the same car that is currently for sale in N.S.S.N.?

    Hey Rich ..

You were there? So was I. SHUCKS would have enjoyed meeting you.

Spent some enjoyable time, late in the afternoon .. chatting with your Uncle, Billy Courtwright. We chatted some about you, the wing, Lobitz, etc.. He never mentioned that you were there too.

Re the Curtis roadster. Don't know, haven't seen the ad. Can you either scan it or copy it and post it? Either that or maybe someone else can give you/us the answer.

KEN BRENN'S SHOW ... ANOTHER IDEA
    http://www.warrennjcarshow.org

Sprinter 2 (Doug) is bringing his beautiful Darrell - Villa #83 Kurtis Offy midget.
MAYBE us HAMBers can set up a time to meet by his car?

Either that or MAYBE PM each other with our cell phone numbers and comprise a list of numbers that one or two of us could call while at the the show ... to arrange us all getting together there????

    Just some thoughts.

    Anyone?????????
