Uh huhhhh . Wow, $500 is nearly free for that. And speaking of boats and cars, all I want is little duck boat (or whatever those are called with a blunt bow) to kind of double as an aerodynamic camper shell on a 60-1 Ranchero. Thanks, Kurt
Do flatheads in boats overheat? Even when they have the whole lake to keep them cool? Ya want to double your money real fast....? Nice score
I've done this ......... BOATS ARE FUN!!! Little hydros can really be additive and fit in the back of a pick-up I learned to speak AREOJET But NO rat boats!!!!! THEY SINK
Damnit...just when I thought I was on the road to financial stability you pull me back in with this thread...me wants one!
Man, Im doing a little research here on a flat bottom hull via the google search engine, and up pops this on the HAMB! That boat is a score and a half.....if you get bored with it, let me know...I'll pay 100 over what the old man sold it to ya for......

I've posted photo's on my album if you want to see Crackerbox If I knew what an URL is I would post photo's here. Can some body give me a clue?
Thanks for the pics spenance. Can you post a shot of the front of the engine? I was curious what you did where the pumps mounted on the front mount. Very cool boat. Do you know of any other V860 wet manifolds?
I had some homemade manifolds made of S.S. tubes looked cool but not as original as these. They would be sitting on a shelf at spencerboatworks.com If they have not been chucked out. contact Jay Annis. I will post front of engine what I've got on my album till I can figure out how to post them here.
Reading this post reminded me of a boat I lettered last summer for a customer. It is a one-off fibreglass-over-plywood built in 1955 and originally powered by a full sized flathead Mercury(100 hp) and spent most of it's life in upstate New York in the Finger Lakes region. The owner's father built it and he grew up learning to ski behind it. He brought it to Michigan quite a few years ago and just recently finished the restoration. The original engine was seized and unable to be freed and was replaced by another Mercury engine;this one a 2.8 litre V-6 out of a Bobcat. There is no transmission;just an in-and-out box. What amazed me was the size:it is but 12 feet long! There is barely room for two people to sit in the stern. When it was brought to me the engine was out and he was putting the final touches on it.
Jenny B looks to be a Glen-L design called a "Tiny Mite" alway's wanted to build one of these to have a pair. Now that RUDDER is the size I need to keep my boat going strait.
I was unable to post another shot had a upload failier. But to answer flyin-t I stuck in some rubber freeze plug/ stop off's plug's. Some times I wish I had gone with dry stacks, but was woried about temperature. It still gets hot and melted the soder out of the exhaust elbows- needs brazen'
