I was lucky to get a vintage Ford enamel sign. The sign reportdly was mounted outside an old European Ford dealer/workshop, most probably pre-war... It is a two sided hanging sign. Unfortunately the wall bracket/hanging arrangement is missing. I would like to build a more or less correct bracket to mount the sign but have no idea how it might have been designed...has anyone maybe a photo of one of those signs mounted to a wall?

That is a great looking sign indeed ! Congratulations on acquiring it !

Purely as a suggestion and nothing more, its obvious that there was a single metal rod that went through both holes of the fittings that you have displayed here.

Its a long shot that you will find a picture of one of those signs with the original hanging bracket. But if the sign were mine, I would go a local metal smith that does wrought iron scroll work, those artists have a good eye for a proper way to hang it, and it wouldn't cost a lot of money to do it, but that is just my opinion !

I'd send a picture of that too the Henry Ford Museum here in Dearborn and see if they know anything about it....;)
