I just got a heap of a '55 chevy and now I need to find some local yards to pick vintage parts from. It's my understanding that Tony/ Memory Lane shut down, so I'm not sure if someone else took over that yard, or what other yards are around that still carry old cars.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated,

    Thanks!

Last I heard, Memory Lane had moved to San Pedro. Don't know if it has closed.

  3. They had moved to Wilmington, but I think they are now closed.

You are going to have to get your mind off the junkyards because it's not the 50's no more. Swap meets, Ebay, Craiglist, Partshouses, etc..........etc.......are the places to go to now for vintage parts.

There is Insurance Auto Auctions at 18200 South Vermont Ave. in Gardena. YES, that is the same address for Ascot Park raceway. The property is now 100% covered by cars going to auction. There must be thousands of cars there. Most likely some vintage stuff as well.
