Great thread! Vintage minibikes are the perfect way to get around a larg car shows too! I got a classic Rupp that I am getting rid of here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220320684389 Ian
Really? That doesn’t mean much to me coming from a guy from a state with a socialist representative and bunch jobless trust fund tree huggers. I spent 2 years in VT. Everyone there is either doing bong hits on the way to the ski hill with their daddy’s credit card or pumping gas at "cumby farms" to pay of the satellite on the roof of their trailer. Let’s not mention that your cars all rust to sh!t after 6 years and you have to import all of your rods from MY southern state. I can honestly say: Your State is one of the worst states of all-time. Have a nice day!
ohh snap! hahahaha...nice comeback! you'll fit in well here!!!! but what i think he was referring to is.....at traditional shows, no mini bike riding is allowed...then on top of that, you post and ebay link...which is against the rules here! anywho...welcome to the hamb!
nah, I think what he was referring to is the bullshit spam link. either contribute something useful to the board, or go peddle your shit somewhere else. no ebay links allowed here.
Yeah, i mentioned that...never clicked it, cause i dont do so, but i assumed it was something for sale!
I didnt mean to break the rules, sorry. Ah shows... well at the little shows here, it is part of the show to bring your minis, vintage schwinns and stuff... Plus I drag race all my rods so having a "pit bike" is a real life saver at a large track on a 100 degree day. (something the VT liberal wouldnt know anything about ) I go through cars like my passengers go through clean undies. Here is a pic of the volk-rod that I am building at the moment: 2110 10:1 skat stroker. Yangs the front wheels up down on main st at will. I eat up a lot of 5.0s and sh!t with it (not haten, I got 5.0s too) Here is my BSA rat babber too Is that better? Ian
haha,,,you make fun of hippies and you drive bug with the peace hand on the frt???? your killin me!!!!!LOL i do dig the bike!! bsa's are my fav brit bike!
I had a "LiL Indian" that was very similar to that minibike you restored. Only differences I can remember were that my handlebars had knobs that allowed them to fold down, my front fork had shocks, I THINK it had a motorcycle style tank and it had lights. If I could ever find another I'd buy it in a heart beat. It was dark green.
How about let's not ruin this thread with bashing. It's a recurring topic. Fordman - It's not polite to just drop in and post an ad using a forum to promote your agenda. I did notice you joined up to oldminibikes.com and didn't spam, so I'll give you half credit. Otherwise let's keep this to Vintage minibike memories and current rides.
195? Homelite trail king 1959 Tote Gote 1974 Alsport tri-sport 197? rupp go joe And the wifes chopper built from scratch for her by her uncle.
Here's my custom creation. I call it EL GOOZANITO I also have this complete Dave Gratton- Rock Hound that I scored at a yard sale for $20
A friend called me one day and said his neighbor had an old mini bike out in his trash. Several hundred dollars later here it is. I must say I had more fun putting this one together. It is a 1969 Rupp Goat. Being a street rodder I had to do some changes. It's my Hardley-A-Davidson I put a 5hp Honda replacment motor in it.
Some pics of my mid-'60s Quarter Horse. The seat flips up after removing the quick-pin, so you can fill the bottle-shaped main frame tubes that double as the fuel tank with pre-mix gas. Here's one that still has all of the 'street' equipment on it.
I built this in middle school out of crap I got at the town dump. I took it to a couple local bike shows and did pretty well.
Cool bike Bart. You already know they are rare. Can you get a close up pic of the handlebar clamp setup? I'm missing the lower half of mine, and will have to get a machinist buddy to make me one.
Mastermind!! Did you build the boardtrack racers from drawings or off the top of your head? Are there drawings avalible? That's about as cool a motorcycle as I've seen in a long time!!!! Thanks, Mike
