The old minis are hard to find in that nice of original condition, id pick up something that needs work for customization purposes
The two I have are based on my graduating motorcycle experience as a kid. My first a Taco 22 My second a Yamaha JT1 mini enduro
That could make us possibly the dorkiest biker gang ever! P.S. Look outside- it's only 101 today! wooo hooo!
No doubt! I was sizing up Hot Rod Ron's mini today. Greggski welded up the rear wheel plates....it's HALF a roller!
My kids and I are just getting started on a late 60's Rupp C-220 "Cub". They are so pumped about getting it looking awesome and riding it....
The Spaniard? looks more like El Shopo Carto! The challenge has been accepted. The rise of Shrunken cycles is inevitable "Turf Saver tracks up and down your back, I can see u had your fun!" { Jimi Minidrecks } quote
A kid that lived across the street from me got one of these for his birthday. We all hated him... head lights and disc brakes. all we had where cyclops with 3 horse Briggs.
Hello, We have 4. Doing a Duster Chopper now. Other are a Bonanza, Skat Kitty, and one unknown. Lots of fun while the funds are low! Take Care, JA in NC
You have a beautiful Taco dude. (whoa, that was weird) Maybe we can all get together soon and cruise central wearing fez' (fezi?).....
Hooray half a roller again! Just kicked out a major project yesterday, and found myself with a space and a day that no one knows about, so mini bike building shall commence! Built new rear axle plates (complete with lightening holes!!), and started to build new forks. Probably cruise down to ElPollacko's later and spin my forks in the lathe to make the new tubes fit. Hopefully I can talk Liberace into painting this thing for me, (any color you want - as long as it's flaked!!!). Does any body on the Phoenix scene have a pair of 7/8" mini apes without a home? Might need them! Sorry, no pictures at this time due to personal computer stupidity! Soon though!
Thanks for the comps. I have a pair of Apes ( Apies ? ), 7/8", about 13" tall, they are the swept- back style, like on the early StingRays. Whatcha got to trade ? FantomResto@hotmail.com
Hmmmm, if only there was a place in town that sold only kitschy, pop culture stuff, maybe furniture and the odd automobile accessories, hmmmm, if only......
Hey Bigwindow! Thanks for the deal on the 7/8" apes. After looking at them I don't know if they'll end up on the mini bike or not, but with a little slicing & dicing they might end up on my '53 triumph chop. My girl friend talked about nothing but schwinn Sting Rays all the way home! Now see what you did!? She's hard enough to understand as it is, you should here her say Schwinn!!!
Wonder how many she has in stock!! Just smell the goofyness! Off to ElPallocko's to finish my forks (little does he know!)!
i have a 1940's briggs model zz, it is a 4 hp it kind of sounds like a harley it would be cool with a straight pipe
Cool, glad you like the bars. And I can get you into one of those StingRays for her, maybe lay-away til Xmas. Also, I'm thinking that maybe you need a leopard skin fez; Wont this match her bikini ?
Absorootry! Might take you up on a Sting Ray soon. Probably best to start her off there - two wheels and her don't seem to mix!
