I certainly appreciate seeing a picture of the picture…All of the ones I have would surely look better here if I scanned them, but it doesn’t feel the same.

I had a tough time finding a few extra 54 Chevy grill teeth when I wanted to add 4 more into my grille.
Now I know where they went! Ha.ha. Looking Good!

Does anybody have any information on this photo??
The car closely matches my 32 3Window
    Chop-looks the same
20 louver side hoods - check
    Smaller black headlights- check
Filled in cowl lights - check
But the biggest clue is that my 32 was owned by a guy in the navy during the 50’s.
If anyone has any info please let me know.
    Thanks
    Greg

Own the photos and the car. My hot rod in the very early '70s when Dad was building it the first time.

@jimgoetz, That's a cool story. It would be cool to see a current pic or some "as found" pics.

Thanks Jack, not much left just a frame and front axle and spring and what was left of the body but the real prize was a 1953 copy of Hots and Sportscars magazine with a 3 page feature of the car.
Here's a magazine page, what the body looked like and what I ended up with. DSCN1256.JPG filename-1 (1).jpg IMG_1F4E4CE7E25E-5.JPG

these are not photos, but slides. I asked the guy I bought them from what happened to the truck and he said he got in it when he was a kid and let off the brake and rolled it into a ditch and they junked it. he's one of the kids in the mountain lion picture. this was up Morrison Canyon road in Fremont.

So Im curious if anyone has an idea where the car show photo I posted above might be from ? I cant make out the plate on the T, but it appears to be mid 70s based on the clothes & cars perhaps.. I had an uncle in Detroit area around that time. Its a distinct building, if anyone in Hambland has an idea Id sure like to know. PS. This is the info on the back of the pic of the PA. My grandfather would have taken this one. He wasnt into hot rods, so im just wondering who took the Hot Rod flics. 20220714_144601.jpg

The full color photos @49ratfink posted above reminded me of this one of my family. My Pops on the far left R.I.P also my Grandmother, Great Aunt, Uncle and a few other relatives. My Dad & uncles all learned to drive that ol blue GMC. Its still sitting in the same place as in the picture. Hardly any blue left now, but the chrome grill still shines bright.. Man I miss those folks... 20220526_100218.jpg 20220526_100129.jpg
