    Really nice. When I was a kid my dad bought a home built trailer which was really a square box with artillery wheels and a painted canvas roof. It was built by a cabinet maker and very well done. But camping with it among the Airstreams and Shasta’s I felt out of place. My dad eventually graduated to a Shasta followed by a Golden Falcon. Today I would give anything to get that old wooden trailer back!
    In case anybody wonders about my photo the truck is a 49 Chevy half ton in a very small garage and the furry critter is named Sherman. He has been gone for many years.
     
  5. Cool story about the trailer. My folks had a Shasta, then another, larger one that I don't remember the brand of. They started the camping/fishing trips after all us kids were out of the house (well earned time away) so I never did the camping trips with them.
    I'll bet that home-built was a beauty!
    Nice cat! Sherman looked like he knew he was a cool dude! Sorry for your loss.
