Gene Winfield took this photo of the 1936 Ford in the parking lot of a NorCal circle track. Interesting to see the side window curtains installed. Most likely because it was winter time when took the photo. Ed Jensen was most likely already the owner of the car when this photo was taken. [divider]
George Barris created this 1936 Ford convertible as his own personal driver when he was working at the Browns Body shop and Harry Westergard in Sacramento. The padded top on the car was done by Hall in Oakland in a dark material.
Some unusual choices here, high mounted cowl steering and a ‘35-‘36? wishbone flipped upside down, looks like he used Model A spring perches. With that said it looks like a cool car, I’d like to see more of it.
