Loved those old Olds since my brother got one in '62 for his first car. Wrong way drunk driver speeding on a freeway in a Cadillac hit him head-on (of course no seatbelts), then flew over the Olds, taking half the roof off. Looked like a train hit it. He was plenty sore, but walked away.
"Standing on a corner" Last time I was there every corner was a tourist trap all selling the same overpriced touristy stuff probably made in China.

I hear you, so much has changed all over the West and here too, in this little 'ol town of Mesa in the mountains of W. Co. (where I have been the last 30 years) with just 500 mail boxes at the PO, no home delivery and 35 miles to town to get groceries.
This is the second aircraft involve with the gas station owner on the same order. He clip the wing on the fist one while on the taxi lane and out of the good heart of the government they gave him another one. My uncle bought a Bell P-39 Airacobra at the end of WW2 for 700 bucks from government surplus. Never did anything with just sat taking up the whole barn. It became the source of many family arguments.
