The car is photographed in Motor Trend, August 1958, pp.38-39, where it is thus described: "A spectacular showpiece is this Fiberglas-bodied two-seater, which was designed and rebuilt for Marie 'The Body' MacDonald at the request of husband-shoe manufacturer, Harry Karl. Barris is well-know for his high-gloss, mirrored exterior finishes; this Le Mans Cadillac is painted with crushed platinum dust and trimmed with 24-karat gold and platinum accessories. The removable top is transparent Plexiglas. The interior features a TV set, bar, and tape recorder, as well as a full range of instruments." As you can see, body #1was considerably restyled, particularly in the body sides and rear areas; the ostentatious Plexiglas hard-top adds to its unique looks. I believe the car was later lost several years ago in a fire. Marie "The Body" McDonald
This has been put up before. It was a well known channelled 32 here in Brisbane Australia and built in the early 60's. My friend Kev(RIP) owned it for many years in this version and we ran together with me in my channeled 29 roadster. Kev later changed it with a 351 Cleveland and painted it pink. It is now a fully fendered roadster and still owned by Kev's wifes family. This picture was taken at last Valla Hot Rod Run in 2019. COVID killed off 2020 and 2021 Also a photo of a magazine shoot we did back in 1970 with my roadster after finishing a rebuild and painted blue and Kevs roadster and his brothers coupe. Last photo is my 29 at the 1970 Brisbane Hot Rod Show

Well, speaking only for myself, I believe that if the car looked half as good as Marie "The Body" it would be spectacular. Since the car was lost in a fire, whatever happened to Marie?
From its founding, Musso and Frank has been part of the social life of the Los Angeles film industry. now a concert hall, but once about 100 years ago it was a mighty fine train station Originally called the Union Station, it was jointly constructed by the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad and the Oregon Short Line, both later wholly owned by the Union Pacific.
