Ah, Brewers Retail. It's now just called The Beer Store. unlike the states, back in the days of Brewers Retail us Canadians in Ontario could only buy beer there or at a liquor store. They were only open till 6pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. If we got really desperate on a Saturday night we would cross the border to Detroit, buy booze, come back to customs and pay the duty to bring it back. It wasn't till the last few years that it was allowed to be sold in certain food stores but not full cases just six packs. I guess that's considered progress.
