Up and coming driver A.J. Shepherd crashing while qualifying for the 1961 Hoosier Hundred at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. He went out of the track and into some horse barns. He survived but he never raced again.

My older brother and nephew. I inherited that bike when he outgrew it. I loved that thing. Lots of blood was shed by me building ramps, and seeing how far I could fly. Imagine,we didn’t have helmets back then either. I found a couple pictures of what that bike looked like. It was a Huffy. Schwinns were for the rich kids.
