    yes they are. been a machanist for 35 yrs. There is one in our shop.

    This looks like another view of the same shop. I only got to use a lathe a few times in high school metal shop. I remember struggling with four jaws that moved independently and spent way too much time trying to get things centered. I made a pulley for a go-cart. I was always amazed by what my machinist friends could do!
