This is the SR-110 (many call it the Harbor Freeway) going North approaching downtown L.A. and the 4-level interchange. Eventually, you have to merge into the appropriate lane to get on the highway to the destination of your choice. Kind of a nightmare, isn't it? And if you are from out of town and this is your first time in Los Angeles, good luck... PS: I forgot to mention, the sign above and over the 110 North, Pasadena states "No Trucks". Any truck larger than a pick-up will get an expensive ticket if they are caught on the Arroyo Seco highway.
You can call it a parkway or whatever you want. The only thing that distinguishes a freeway from anything else is cross streets, stop signs, traffic lights. etc. Freeways don't have them. Period
