I was talking to a guy about his "55" Ford. He told me it was a 56 with a 55 grille! Other differences from 55 to 56 are door latches, hood latches, and the depth of the steering wheels.
The Ravenswood apts where Mae West lived in her small 2 bedroom apt on the 6th floor for 50 years. She also had a beach home in Santa Monica, next to Loiue B Mayers.

And a friend of mine back in the day had a '36 Ford with a '35 front end... We never knew the difference for a long time.
