A well-groomed gentleman, presumably a member of General Electric, places the final touches on a miniature replica of an early New York City traffic signal arrangement. Nicknamed by enthusiasts as the "wheelie," this pole was unique in its design that it only supported a traffic signal at the top. The wheel in the top corner was incorporated into the entire pole to distinguish it as a traffic control device versus a standard street lamp fixture nearly identical in design for its time.

An early General Electric Novalux, two-color traffic signal attached to a "wheelie" arrangement at the corner of Flatbush Av. and 6th Av. Brooklyn, New York. March, 1926.

Who, what, when and where broke the 200mph in the quarter mile?
I heard it was Tommy Ivo in a 4 Buick engine dragster that did it at Mason Dixon Drag way in Maryland Back in th e early to mid 60s.
