Any one remember the blue Royal Oak 62 Bobcat Pontiac that Jimmy Adams in Grove City, Ohio had back in the late 60's? Jimmy ran the Sohio station on the north end of Grove City back them. The station was a hot bed for the fast car bunch, lots of rubber left on the street pulling out to there!
Looks like Gary Bettenhausen checking out either the front of his race car or the trailer in around 1968. And that's something different different sticking outside of the right side of the car. Could that be an early attempt at running a turbo Offy in a Champ dirt car? Thanks, Rootie!
My Orlando Fl friend’s ‘34 Sedan, a week after he got it circa 1962...(he promised the old man they wouldn’t make it a Hot Rod[emoji12]) And, hanging with Pete n Jake at The Nats circa mid 70’s? His car is to the right of The California Kid He still owns it to this day [emoji41][emoji106][emoji173]️[emoji471] Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Not sure what that Ford cabover (COE) is spraying, but I can "hear" those cars rusting as it drives by! I took a 56 Chev B eauville 9 passenger wagon from Calgary salted roads snow country to Maui where the salty air condensation had its way with her. Low rust from salted roads in rockers, floors n lower fenders n high rust in roof from condensed salty air. Poor old girl. Brought her to dry Lubbock Texas but damage already done! 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
It could be Chicki Hirashima's 2 into 1 design. Two ports into each header, two headers into the exhaust pipe. Same as the header design that he did on the Hunt Magneto champ car and others.
