Bill Holland in the Love dirt car in 1949. And it looks like Rex Mays' car in the background. That is the Wolfe car that he would crash in a week later.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, Rootie, but I've heard that Holland and Lou Moore actually ran the front drive Indy winning Blue Crown car on the dirt at Milwaukee in what was likely an appearance money deal. Do you know anything about this or am I all wet?

the payout for the race looks like Holland got a 500 dollar appearance fee. Cant tell if the front drive though. Started 12th finished 9th.
