    Some not so fond memories in this photo LOL. They are being made in 1942 in this photo. 27 years later I got my VERY FIRST airplane ride in a good old C-47 and yes the USMC was STILL flying them LOL. Was in the USMC and was being flown from Beaufort SC on our way the Yuma AZ. All was going good excited about riding in a plane. Well we were ready to take off and taxied over to the end of the runway lined up and reved the engines to check them before flight and I happened to be in a window seat and could see the wing AND IT WAS FLAPPING UP AND DOWN scared the crap out of me.

    Spent the whole flight watching that wing flap up and down. :eek:
