i know there are better threads than this to talk about music but this song catched my attraction because i, who is listening to the fifties all of his life, stumbled across the version of this song sung by Gene Vincent and wondered why i never heard it before:
My only experience seeing afterburners was while sitting at some landing strip at somewhere in Viet Nam waiting for a flight to who knows where. A few Air Force jets took off and as soon as the wheels were up they kicked in the ab...what a sight and what a sound.
