I own a 1956 Chevrolet Beauville exactly like the top front wagon. Mine is a red n white 9 passenger. Bought her used when I lived in Alberta. Took her to Seattle when I moved there. Shipped her via Matson ship when I moved to Maui and 14 years later shipped her by Matson to Long Beach when I moved to Lubbock. There are lots of people less well-traveled than "Ol Bess". 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
Vintage shots from days gone by?...... Don’t think so…. Guy on cell phone, woman holding one and April 20 inspection sticker on the Lark. Not to mention guy (sp) getting in car.
In the Buck Owens photo, the guy on the far right is Billy Mize. When I was a kid, we used to see him on a daily country music show from Bakersfield in the 50's. There is a good documentary film of 2014 about him called Billy Mize and the Bakersfield Sound if anyone is interested.
Just guessing, but based on the headers and the length of the hood, I'm wondering if this roadster was powered by a Buick Straight-8 engine...
