Looks like another NASCAR Speedway Division photo at Darlington. Could this be the ex-Bayliss Levrett car that he drove in the 1950 Indianapolis 500? Thanks, Rootie!
That's Al Keller in the Burroughs 88 NASCAR champ car and yes it was the former AAA Palmer 24. You can still see the #24 on the tail and the 88 on the cowl so it must be on its maiden NASCAR run. I believe they ran it without the front bodywork in an attempt to keep that big ol' Caddy motor cool.
