It's Wiki, not a reliable source. Note the discrepancies where the arrows are; crude manual alterations of the sky, flat spots on tires as if sitting on the ground. I would bet this thing would run, but not fly in an operational sense - just sit on the ground and make a lot of racket or stagger about in ground effect. If it really did work, the Navy would have used it in a hotshot for spotting U-boats flying from destroyers or freighters.
