A Mid Century Modern Home usually found in the Palm Springs area of the inland desert area. The 1958 Mercury hardtop fits nicely parked in front. It was a record breaking 117 degrees for the hottest place in the USA yesterday. Hello, The area well known in So Cal for having the most Mid-Century Modern homes and designs is about 100+ miles inland from Dana Point. It takes almost 3 hours to drive via scenic highways and freeways to get there from the coast. We have taken this road trip in 1967 and also several times since then. (First outdoor rock concert held in the Palm Springs Drive-in Theater location) It is a popular place to visit, but extremely hot all year around. The recent famed, Cochella Valley Music Festival gathering is close by and always packs the city to no end… Not a place to visit during those weekends… hot, traffic, noise, crowds like no other, well, you get the picture… Jnaki But other times during the so called “off season,” it is a warm to hot place to visit. The only place with an aerial tramway for endless views all around… and a new wave pool for cooling off… The mid century modern homes in any So Cal location look similar. This photo could have been in Bixby Knolls, our hot rod cruising area as teens. How about putting a custom, 1958 Mercury Nomad Station Wagon in front of the similar Mid-Century Modern home… YRMV
