The B-26 was a hard plane to fly due to the short wings, let alone with one wing shot off. It looks like the AC in level in flight.
I googled the picture and it was taken moments after the plane was hit and a second later it spiraled toward earth. I think the picture makes it look like the plane is still in flight.
After spending a considerable amount of time studying the left side of this pic I finally noticed the dude on the right. Looks like a young Bobby Unser to me.
