Oh, please. I was born in 1950. From 1956 until 1962, I lived in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In an ongoing effort to eradicate at least a few of the damn mosquitoes, the city regularly dispatched city pickups with DDT foggers in bed. As 9-11-year-olds, we would follow the trucks around the neighborhood on our bikes, breathing in the fog. I'm now 75. Breathing DDT as a kid doesn't seem to have killed me yet.
