I put a set of those headers on a 1964 Plymouth Savoy 2 Door with a max wedge 426 stage III, that I was trying to make a street sleeper to get races passing it off as a 383. Even feeding thru mufflers those damn headers had a pinging of each cylinder firing that you could hear a block away even at idle.

First time I pulled in at a gathering place known for street racers arranging races for cash. When I tried one racer there said I don’t know you or that car, but if it’s half as bad as it sounds we don’t want any part of it!

I think that it has something to do with France, if I could only hear her voice calling my name.
