I put a set of those headers on a 1964 Plymouth Savoy 2 Door with a max wedge 426 stage III, that I was trying to make a street sleeper to get races passing it off as a 383. Even feeding thru mufflers those damn headers had a pinging of each cylinder firing that you could hear a block away even at idle. First time I pulled in at a gathering place known for street racers arranging races for cash. When I tried one racer there said I don’t know you or that car, but if it’s half as bad as it sounds we don’t want any part of it!
Wow! this takes me back.About then i took up the long board, just like these and remember well like that guy lower left, how bloody hard it was to get your arm to stretch around the rails to carry those big buggers!OK if you were right on the beach, like here;but when you needed to traverse sand dunes or cliff faces to reach the waves.....weeell!
