Rodger Ward had refused to drive at Langhorne as he had never liked the track. Bryan was making a dirt track comeback and asked mechanic/builder A.J. Watson for the ride. After the crash the car was repaired and ready for the next race. Ward drove it for the rest of the season on the dirt miles. The car itself went on to have a long history with Don Branson winning several races in it. Bobby Unser drove it for several seasons and it served him well when he won his first USAC National Championship in 1968. I think the car continued to be raced competitively into the 1970s.
