Not exact location or year but he was driving a car on bias ply tires, drum brakes with a single master cylinder, no collapsing steering wheel, no seat belts, no safety door locks, no door reinforcements, no crush zone, etc. I heard he bumped a curb at 1 mph and died of blunt forced trama after the firemen needed hacksaws to cut him out and no one knew

 

that's sweet it was mobile. i bet it didn't come cheap tho. did it take a 4pk of d cells? or charge off car system? kinda advanced tech for '58.

 

wow. i feel kinda bad assuming the suit got him now. amazing you could mess with that, then die in a "minor" accident on the street

My transistor radio worked on AA cells in 1958. My cousin's '58 Olds demo had one of those radios and they worked on batteries too.

 

I hope they don't get much snow there.

 

I believe that George Barber of Bradford, Vermont owned Bradford Auto supply.
