    Looks like the Iowa … My father in-law was a sailor on the Iowa during the Korean War and said they would sometimes fire those 16 inch guns all night moving along the coast … The noise and heaving of the ship he said was unbelievable!

    In 1946 the Pittsburgh Board of Education established a program to train war veterans in both automotive and academic courses at the school. Quonset huts, which might have been war surplus, were erected adjacent to the school building to house the new program. By 1958 when the program was discontinued, it had educated over twenty-seven thousand WWII and Korean War veterans.
