Hello, We used to see those ads in all sorts of newspapers, national magazines and even in some old car magazines. We actually never liked those models from the Chrysler Corporation. Why? Well we always thought they/it, (Valiant/Lancer line) was underpowered and they looked funky. The designers had their way with designs from old folks that were on the design team. So, their ideas were like gold. Even though they were in third place versus GM and Ford. If they had the foresight to use their hardtop sedan model to design it into the station wagon line, perhaps, it could have been a big seller on the car market. Plus, the option for a stronger V8 motor would have put the station wagon or counter part over the top. Color TV was very popular and service was usually necessary everywhere… a sedan delivery also would fit. One of the most popular restaurant/diners in all of the Bixby Knolls. Russell's Diner, broiled cheeseburgers and fries were the favorites of any teenager + tons of families, in the whole area. Home delivery would have been the tops... Jnaki For power? Gas saving motor with some horsepower + the option of ordering a more powerful V8, to get a fully loaded station wagon up into the mountains. Also play into the beach going families and teens who also load up their old cars to camp out for a weekend or week’s vacation along the coastline. Not to be left out, teenage surfers would have a low cost Dodge/Plymouth stylish station wagon for all purposes… YRMV
