The intersection of Dearborn and Randolph in Chicago, this is a ‘40’s photo but it takes me back to the late ‘50’s. In particular I remember Morrows Nut House. Morrows sold nuts and I think they used an exhaust fan to waft the smell of nuts to the passing crowds. It must have worked, the place was always packed.
