It was one of those here in Adelaide that I saw my first alloy wheels! Still riding a pushbike,so early -mid sixties. Italian building/earth moving Co. mmm..Tripodi I think. Was in awe! funny how Italians seem to go for the big Yank Tanks! still do down here.

 

Yep,they're all there in that movie. Happier times for4 all.

Love it! notice thr Beetles are floating a lot better than others! No ****...here in Adelaide in the sixties, a bloke lost his Beetle of Semaphore Beach,I think it was Washed up on shore,three days later! I won't swear to exac***ude,but is true story.

 

914's do not float like Beetles/.

There's probably a lot of you blokes that think I rattle on about the humble Beetle. If you do,google REDeX around Australia ReliabilityTrials in the Fifties. Think VeeDubs won on several times.Against all the big names.

Actually, Chrysler offered a 300 4 dr Sedan in 1969, but I am not allowed to post my picture of that late a car here.
