We would do the same thing when I grew up in Inglewoo, Ca. The City would decorate Market St thru the main business district from Florance until it met La Brea. Dad would always put the top down on our 55 Sunliner so my brother and I could see better. After we went over to Regent Circle off Hillcrest where more the "well-to-do" lived a really decorated their homes. The Aakers lived there, you might remember Lee Aaker, Rusty on Rin Tin Tin. In 1960 he bought a new dark blue 348 3-2 Chevrolet convertable.

  15. Anyone remember the Sears catalogs? They had an extensive automotive section and even sold entire engines. I never really bought anything from their catalogs but I did enjoy looking through them over and over. I was all over the Christmas catalogs as a kid.
