Vintage shots from days gone by!

I have a tip for taking pictures of printed literature, such as old black and white catalogues printed on thin paper. If you are having trouble with the printing or pictures on the back side bleeding through, put a sheet of black paper against the back side. That will get rid of the bleed through. Then you can lighten your picture up until you get the brightness you desire.

The locomotive was one a series of engines built by Baldwin for the B & O in 1927. The B & O Rail Road designated them as class P-7 but they assigned the name of a president to each one of the 20. They were commonly known as "The President Class Pacifics"; Pacific being the standard name assigned to the wheel arrangement: 4-6-2. Many railroads used the wheel arrangement but no other railroad had a "President Class--".

Can't say for sure but a lot of vehicles modified like that got used in Saudi, Arabia, and other Mid East, and African countries in the earlydays of Oil Exploration.

As a matter of fact there are some videos of Studebaker Champions modified at the factory for evaluation by one of the big American Companies I believe they were 49 or 50's. You can see videos of the test films on you tube. Look under dessert oil cars or just put in Studebaker and they should come up. that looks lin a late 30's MOPAR so maybe not the same deal.

Yup, I see them too. The first two are diaper service trucks. Predisposable era. The others might be dairy.
