this image was also sold as a license plate until at least the late 1970s. they were fairly common as used and NOS at swap meets until the early 1990s. now that I want one to hang the wall I can't find one in any condition.

 

damn, this really looks like I-44 in OKC a few miles northeast of Will Rogers airport.

 

pics 36966 and 36967 appear to have the same Ford wagon. ??

 

and I'm pretty sure I know where this is, out on the southwest side of Fresno. Most of the trees are still there too....

Nope. One's a '55, the other a '56. Close though.

Lindsay Ca, 1958 Im pretty sure. My Dad was in college and bought his first camera. Great shots I think. You can see his shadow in one of the pictures.

 

I know this view well. This image is taken from the traffic circle that leads to Arlington National Cemetary-the Memorial Bridge also leads to the Lincoln Memorial at the opposite end. I spent Christmas Eve morning visiting with honored friends and family at Arlington as always whenever I go home.

 

I bet these trees were fence posts when planted! I know it sounds crazy but there is a certain tree that they always find growing like this it is some tree that was brought in to California and the mid west from I think China as fence posts it seems that the tree could go dormant when cut but resprout after several years if "planted"Much like taking a clipping from a flower or shrub and rooting it.

On the far side of the road you can see a sign that looks like I-94....

 

Looks like I-94 a little west of I-75.
