Don's Grill on Route 31 in Gasport? Later it was Long's Pub and today is home to Jamesport Tap. It was known for having liquor in the front and poker in the rear room.

I have fond memories of going there as a kid. It was bustling as I remember it.

We did go on the steam powered excursion.

I really appreciate that you posted these.

Thanks to Wikipedia, pic of workers departing the plant where the opulent Delaunay Belleville
automobiles were produced, north of Paris. To me, it looks to have been snapped between 1910
and 1915. Anybody else have a better guess?

During the last idyllic years of Czarist Russia, Nicholas and his family are
depicted leaving the race course at Krasnoe Selo as troops salute the Czar.
I'm not familiar with the eras of D-B styling, but this appears to be after the
Russo--Japanese War but before WWI and the Revolution. Can any eagles
here nail down the year of the car? Engraving thanks to JustaCarGuy.
    Just ran onto it: 1909.

Quaint artwork for a 1922 magazine ad portraying the "Upper Crust"
of society, thanks to JustaCarGuy. Silver spoons are nice, huh? ;)

Ad art labeled "His Herreshoff Car." Herreshoff? New one on me.

Said to be "the first automobile," an 1883 Benz, as displayed at Daytona, March 1909.
I never knew this used a flywheel. Very interesting. THANKS to JustaCarGuy.

Brooklyn Auto graveyard? Maybe so. Just an auto dump? Sure doesn't look like any sort
of scrapping or parts op. Another one of those pix that raise more questions than they answer.

The picture of the Oyster Creek restaurant is on Chuckanut drive between Bow and Bellingham Washington. It is still there but has been remodeled.

From the NY Public Libarary thanks to JustaCarGuy, a 1944 photo with some interesting details!
For one, the coupe converted to a pickup, possibly to get an advantage on gas-rationing?
Also, is that a Willys coming down the street?

The Giant stump is now at a rest stop on I-5 . I think it is the one near Arlington WA. I don't know if I-5 took over 99 when it was built or they moved it there.

As a teenager Blount worked for Ellis D. Atwood in South Carver Mass. on his Cranberry farm and his steam trains Atwood purchased several of Maines bankrupt 2 foot guage rail roads during the depression and moved them to his Cranberry farm to use moving Cranberries from the bogs to the processing plant on the property.Atwood later bought the rolling stock that became steam town he had several pieces of Standard gauge rolling stock on static display at his farm in South Carver.Mr Atwood would occasionally give family and friends train rides on his "cute little trains" on weekends until he had so many people wanting rides that he decided to open his trains to the public and EDAville RR was born named from his initials E.D.A.The first steam train at Disneyland was leased from either Mr Atwood or Mr Blount I forget which now. When EDAville was a now a public park Mr Atwood was killed in a steam boiler explosion in the processing plant. Mr Blount now an adult with the means to do it bought the trains and all EDAville and Steam town stock he did not buy the land which was still working cranberry bogs he got a right of way lease for the parks attractions from the Atwood family.Mr Blount like many others that had worked at EDAville had a great love of the trains and the park!He purchased EDAville and Steamtown so EDAville would survive not so much to be an Engineer. From what I'm told he was a great person to work for.My family and I had the privilege of working at EDAville weekends several years it was the best jobs we ever had. There is a video that was made by one of the train magazines giving the complete history of both EDAville and Steamtown and the Disney train."Hammerman" comes from my years as one of EDAvilles blacksmiths.

1933 French two-man tank, thanks to VirtualFighters. By '35, field trials and refinements resulted
in adoption of this R-35, and by May '40 some 1,100 were operational to take on Germany.
