Cool pics Dog. I remember a blue Daytona sitting in Mansfield, Pa. It was a daily driver, had the nose beat up as I remember.

Those look like official Soap Box Derby wheels on the cart.

Is this from the Cushman collection?

That would be the Carquinez Bridge, between Crockett and Vallejo, north of San Francisco, about '57 or so, when the second span was being built.

I don't know why but I would love to have this truck . First grade I sat next to a window and would watch trucks like this roll in to deliver to the cafeteria every morning . This pic just ignited a flow of memories and emotions . Thanks to all and thank you HAMB

Regis had a TV show in San Diego about '62. I was twelve, panhandling in front of a "three-wide" grocery store gumball machine ... goes something like this.

ME: Hey Mister can I have a nickel for an Atomic Fire Bomb?
REGIS: How much are the Wild Cherries?
    ME: Two cents.
REGIS: Well kid here is a penny for the sour grapes.

I can believe that. Maybe 5 years back my Boss took me to lunch at someplace on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood Ca. I seen Regis come in and stopped as he entered as if to see if all would be ok. Talk with the folks he was with softly and gave the all clear. Well, he got seated next to my table. Not exactly the same person as we see on TV. Not saying he's an awfull person. It's just what you see on TV is not always what you see in person.

This reminds me of a store where you turn in filled books of trading stamps for some kind of household appliance. My Mom and Dad used a place like this in Vineland, NJ to redeem their books of S&H Green Stamps.

That would explain the woman looking at the book/catalog. I missed that detail earlier. But your right, it does look like that. My child hood pedal car and bike and many other thing's came from Blue Chip outlet. My Dad drove alot working and the chips never seam to stop filling the lick n stick stamp book.

It was a favorite thing for me to do when i was a little kid, pasting the S&H green stamps into the books. When we checked out from the grocery store, mom would ask for them if they didn't give them. I remember picking out something as a 5 or 6 year old but can't remember what it was.

I remember around here there were more stores giving out the Blue Chip stamps than the S&H ones.
I think it was a regional thing?
Anyway, now both have been replaced by "Visa purchase points".
I got the mac computer I'm using right now for free with the Visa points.

I bought these back over 35 years ago, Program and Armbands.
Thought I'd scan them and post them.
