Don't worry, you're not alone. I used to drag race in the early to mid sixties, I'been a few times over the past thirty years and I've yet to figure the bracket stuff out, seems pointless to try to go fast....delay boxes and all this other stuff, Oh , and around here they have "buy backs". If you get beat, you pay extra money and get to race again.

Cool, Gary! Remember when King Midgets were a pretty common sight?

The Ruptured Duck was indeed the featured plane in "Thirty Seconds over Tokyo." Van Johnson played the pilot. I read the book, which had been written by the pilot as I recall.

I made it to this one (don't remember any of the music though :)). Eight of us rented a Winabago and drove up.

I can't believe this lineup, and the order they're billed in. Wonder what year this was?

    Wikipedia says 1974............
    Also says Springsteen didn't perform!
Could you imagine Springsteen back in 74 at a show!

The Missouri Senate met in October 1974 and discussed the events of the music festival in the committee report. The report states that, "The Ozark Music Festival can only be described as a disaster. It became a haven for drug pushers who were attracted from throughout the United States. The scene made the degradation of Sodom and Gomorrah appear mild. Natural and unnatural sex acts became a spectator sport ... Frequently, nude women promoted drugs with advertisements on their bodies."[1]
